Our President

Norris Blount received his bachelor's degree from Baylor University in 1988 and his master's from Covington Theological Seminary in 2005. Since graduating from Baylor, he has built an impressive resume with over 20 years of experience in Sales and Marketing. After finishing an accomplished career with DuPont, Norris turned his attention to staffing in 2000 as Indiana Area Manager for InStaff Personnel. He later took a position as Georgia Area Manager and then National Accounts Director for Ōnin Staffing.

As a Business Unit Manager for Fortune 500 companies and then as an Area Manager in the staffing industry, Norris learned how to balance and thrive in operations and sales. His experience as an autonomous manager, vast business connections and drive to forge his own destiny led him to found Excelsior Staffing in 2007.

  • Relationships: Strong internal and external relationships are key contributors to success and rapid growth. We believe, that for relationships to thrive long-term, we must strive for win-win partnerships with our clients, internal staff and Teammates.
  • Innovation: Our willingness to do what it takes to meet our clients' needs is another key to success. The use of staffing technologies, recruiting methods, and operational command and control need to constantly adapt and adjust to the dynamic and increasingly competitive business environment for our company to continue thriving.

  • Rewarding Performance: We compensate our managers based largely on performance. We pay our managers less in salary than the average staffing company but offer opportunity for unlimited income for those who can bring in and support a large book of business. Our managers are more willing to “do what it takes” because compensation is directly proportionate to their ability to deliver.

  • Fiscal Conservatism: We have great financial liquidity with no corporate debt and a very strong cash position. In addition to covering obligatory needs like payroll, workers compensation and liability insurance, this liquidity means that we can quickly launch expansion branches, take advantage of new technologies, and can invest in the recruitment and development of our staff that supports the client.
